Job Description

Join us as a Textile Knitting and Weaving Machine Setter, where you will be accountable for overseeing the assembly and maintenance of loom control chains. Your technical skills and attention to detail will be essential to enhancing our manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on textile machines.
• Set up and calibrate weaving machinery according to specifications.
• Monitor production output and adjust processes as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Document all maintenance performed and maintain inventory of tools and parts.
• Identify areas for process improvement.
• Work closely with the quality control team to ensure product standards are met.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding operational challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• FET certificate in Textile Engineering or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in textile machine operation or maintenance.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical maintenance skills
• Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Conversational
