Fabric and Apparel Patternmakers

Job Description

As a Fabric and Apparel Patternmaker, you will play a critical role in the garment production process. You'll create, modify, and fit patterns to ensure that our textiles are crafted into high-quality garments. We are looking for someone detail-oriented with a deep understanding of pattern creation and garment construction.

Responsibilities

• Create and adjust patterns according to specifications provided by designers.
• Ensure that prototype garments fit accurately and are suitable for production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production and quality assurance.
• Review existing patterns for efficiency and update as necessary.
• Train and assist junior patternmakers as needed.
• Stay updated with industry trends and techniques in pattern making.
• Perform quality checks on finished garments to ensure compliance with patterns.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Fashion Design or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design is beneficial

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in pattern making or garment construction

Technical Skills

• Pattern making
• CAD Software
• Sewing Techniques

Advantageous

• Experience in garment fitting: Experience in conducting garment fittings and providing feedback.
• Knowledge of sustainable fabrics: Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics is a plus.
