Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

We are searching for a Warehouse Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations in our Johannesburg warehouse. The successful candidate will oversee the workforce, ensuring optimal productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a keen eye for efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse staff to maintain productivity and safety standards.
• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments and react to emergencies as they arise.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and warehouse layout.
• Implement warehouse management software for tracking inventory.
• Engage in problem-solving to enhance workflows.
• Lead safety training sessions and ensure compliance.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations

Technical Skills

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Forklift Operation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Advantageous

• Lean Six Sigma Certification: Certification that demonstrates expertise in process improvement and efficiency.
• Experience in team building and staff training: Proven ability to develop and implement training programs for warehouse staff.
