Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex actuarial data to identify trends.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
• Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders incorporating your analysis.
• Assist in pricing strategies using data-driven insights.
• Support the implementation of actuarial software tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in actuarial or related positions

Technical Skills

• Excel
• R/Python
• SQL

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking

Certifications

• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA)
• Certified Actuary (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with actuarial software such as Prophet: Knowledge and experience in using Prophet for actuarial modeling.
• Experience with programming languages like C#: Proficiency in C# for developing customized actuarial tools.
