Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Mental Health Counsellor to join our dynamic team in Durban. In this role, you will provide essential emotional and psychological support to clients dealing with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement counselling programs that address specific community needs.
  • Monitor and assess treatment outcomes and make necessary adjustments.
  • Record and maintain client files in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings for collaborative care.
  • Conduct public outreach to promote mental health awareness and resources.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to client scheduling and billing.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Sociology
  • Master's degree in Mental Health or a related discipline is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in providing counselling services
