Job Description

In this role as a Sawing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you'll be at the forefront of our manufacturing process, ensuring that our sawing operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your work will play a critical part in producing the wooden components required for various applications, meeting strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sawing machines to facilitate timber processing.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Conduct regular inspections of products to maintain high-quality output.
• Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on machines as needed.
• Assist in the implementation of production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with other production team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Record production metrics for reporting purposes.
• Participate in health and safety audits as required.
• Assist in inventory control of raw materials.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production methods.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Technical qualification in manufacturing or engineering (advantageous)

Experience

• 2-5 years' experience in sawing or woodworking operations

Languages
