Structural Modeling Engineer

Job Description

As a Structural Modeling Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed models of building structures. You will work closely with architects and other engineers to ensure that designs comply with regulations and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop realistic 3D models for structural components.
• Perform calculations and analyses to determine load-bearing capacities.
• Work closely with architects to integrate structural systems with architectural designs.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for client presentations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
• Participate in site inspections to verify construction compliance.
• Utilize BIM technologies to enhance structural designs and coordination.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software (STAAD, LUSAS)
• Matlab
• Technical Reporting

Soft Skills

• Project Management

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in the use of Revit for Structural Modeling: Proficiency in Revit for structural modeling and coordination with other disciplines.
• Knowledge of Earthquake Engineering Principles: Understanding of earthquake engineering principles and their application to building designs.
