Job Description

Join our esteemed healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing nursing care plans, administering medications, and providing excellent bedside care. This role requires strong communication skills, a compassionate attitude, and a commitment to preserving the dignity and well-being of each patient.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments and provide consistent monitoring of patient conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts and nursing research.
  • Manage and mentor nursing assistants and other support staff.
  • Assist with the discharge planning and care transition for patients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative relationship within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Stay updated on best practices and new advancements in nursing care.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse certification
Experience
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
Technical Skills
  • Patient Care
  • BLS and ACLS Certification

Certifications

Languages
  • English: Fluent
