Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient medication therapy and provide clinical advice.
• Train and guide pharmacy support staff.
• Participate in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and manage stock levels effectively.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on dispensed medications.
• Work alongside prescribers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Mentor interns and newly registered pharmacists.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of pharmacy experience preferred

• Knowledge of regulations

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with health insurance processes: Knowledge of working with health insurance claims and processes.
