Job Description

As a Pharmacist in our Durban branch, you will play a key role in patient healthcare, ensuring the safe distribution of medication and advising on drug interactions. You will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret prescriptions to ensure safe medication use.
• Provide drug utilization reviews and patient consultations.
• Assist in training new pharmacy staff and interns.
• Contribute to team efforts in achieving pharmacy performance metrics.
• Implement medication safety initiatives within the pharmacy.
• Support outreach programs that promote health and wellness.
• Monitor stock levels of medications and reorder supplies as necessary.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Advantageous

• Familiarity with pharmacy management software: Experience with systems like Meditech or similar software is a plus.
• Knowledge of specialized medications and therapies: Understanding of complex medication regimens is beneficial.
