Job Description

As an Instructional Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and guiding students in a dynamic educational environment. Your responsibilities will include developing lesson plans, assisting with classroom management, and providing one-on-one support to students. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about education and dedicated to student success.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in the execution of lessons and classroom activities.
• Help manage classroom resources and materials.
• Monitor students during independent work and assist as necessary.
• Encourage student participation and engagement.
• Document student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Facilitate small groups for tutoring and support.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.
• Implement behaviour interventions as prescribed by teachers.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma with relevant certifications in education.
• Bachelor's degree in education is highly regarded.

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in an educational setting.

Technical Skills

• Online collaboration tools

Soft Skills

Advantageous

• Experience working with students with special needs: Prior experience in adapting lessons and activities for students with learning challenges.
