Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and prepare underwriting guidelines for approval.
• Engage in negotiations with clients to clarify coverage expectations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Assist in training junior underwriters and supporting staff on best practices.
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss underwriting strategies and market conditions.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Business Administration or Finance

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting in the insurance sector

Technical Skills

• Statistical Analysis
• Insurance Software Proficiency

• Negotiation

Certifications

• Insurance Institute Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of specific insurance lines: Expertise in property and casualty or health insurance lines.
