Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Actuarial Analyst to be part of our innovative team. Your role will involve analysing and interpreting complex data sets, collaborating with professionals across various departments to facilitate informed decision-making and ensure the effective management of risk for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis and statistics to support actuarial evaluations.
• Interpret complex datasets and offer insights and recommendations.
• Actively participate in team and interdepartmental meetings to communicate results.
• Sanitise and document workflows in line with actuarial standards.
• Collaborate on projects to improve the efficiency of actuarial processes.
• Create forecasts and projections for future business scenarios.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures for actuarial calculations.
• Update software tools and data handling processes as needed.
• Work with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives involving risk analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field
• Completion of actuarial exams is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in an actuarial role or similar position

• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA)
