Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our Bloemfontein team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of environmental laws, regulations, and sustainability practices. Your role will involve assessing environmental impacts, conducting audits, and developing strategies to minimize ecological footprints.

Responsibilities

• Assess environmental risks and impacts of projects.
• Provide consultancy services on sustainable development.
• Monitor and report on environmental performance of projects.
• Prepare regulatory submissions and environmental impact assessments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions.
• Engage with government and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate records of environmental assessments.
• Support clients in achieving sustainability certifications.
• Assist in grant applications for environmental projects.
• Facilitate community engagement sessions related to environmental issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in environmental management or consulting
