Belt Operator

Job Description

The Belt Operator will play a key role in our production process, responsible for the operation and maintenance of conveyor belt systems. This position requires attention to detail and commitment to safety, ensuring materials move efficiently through the facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of conveyor systems in compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct quality checks on materials transported via conveyor systems.
• Adjust conveyor speed and settings to optimize throughput.
• Coordinate with other production team members to enhance productivity.
• Keep accurate logs of maintenance and repairs performed.
• Participate in safety training and drills.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Engage in problem-solving to troubleshoot system issues.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical qualification related to manufacturing is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills

Advantageous

• Certification in materials handling: Proven credentials in safe handling and operational efficiencies.
• Experience with safety compliance: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards in a manufacturing setup.
