DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our expanding team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and the software development lifecycle. This role requires collaboration with development teams to enhance application deployment, monitor system performance, and ensure scalability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
• Work with application teams to enhance deployment and monitoring capabilities.
• Configure and optimize cloud services to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct regular system audits and implement improvements.
• Create dashboards and logging solutions to enhance visibility.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
• Participate in on-call support rotations as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development and operations

Technical Skills

• Python
• Ansible

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent
