Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Johannesburg. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing environmental strategies that comply with regulations. The ideal candidate should have a keen understanding of South African environmental laws and sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and report on environmental impact for various projects.
• Ensure compliance with local and national environmental legislation.
• Participate in community outreach programs.
• Support the development of new environmental policies.
• Identify risks to the environment and propose mitigation strategies.
• Conduct audits and inspections of facilities and sites.
• Develop and manage client relationships to enhance service delivery.
• Provide expert advice on ecological conservation issues.
• Assist with grant proposals for environmental initiatives.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or similar
• Postgraduate qualification is preferable

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting
