Job Description

As an Investment Banking Analyst in our Johannesburg office, you will play a key role in analyzing financial data, conducting industry research, and preparing detailed reports. Ideal candidates will be proactive and thrive in a collaborative atmosphere while helping to drive deal execution.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial statements and market trends to provide insight.
• Prepare and review client presentations and letters of intent.
• Contribute to the development of M&A strategies.
• Support the execution of transactions from inception to closing.
• Coordinate with external parties including legal and financial advisors.
• Prepare detailed project plans and timelines.
• Identify potential merger and acquisition targets.
• Engage in negotiation processes and stakeholder management.
• Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Investment Management
• MBA preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in investment banking or relevant financial services

Languages

• English: Fluent
