We are on the lookout for a skilled Drilling and Boring Machine Tool Setter to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. As a key player in our operations, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machines to produce high-quality precision parts that meet client specifications. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will play a significant role in ensuring the excellence of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of machining equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during operations.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of production processes.
• Train junior operators on machine operation and maintenance.
• Identify challenges in production and provide solutions.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical or vocational training in machining or similar field

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in operating precision machinery.

Technical Skills

• CNC machine operation
• Technical drawing interpretation

Soft Skills

• Effective communication
• Attention to safety

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Ability to utilize Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
