Job Description

We are in search of a Green Material Construction Trade Instructor to lead our construction trade courses focused on the use of eco-friendly and sustainable building materials. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in sustainable practices and a passion for teaching the next generation of builders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee course development focused on innovative techniques in sustainable building.
• Engage students with hands-on learning experiences and real-world applications.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, recommending enhancements as necessary.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
• Assist in the development of new training resources and instructional materials.
• Work closely with construction teams to ensure practical implementation of sustainable practices.
• Facilitate industry partnerships for better student exposure to practical scenarios.
• Lead workshops and seminars to promote sustainable construction within the community.
• Participate in grant writing and fundraising efforts to support program initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the educational programs offered.

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Local Building Codes: Familiarity with South African regulations regarding building practices.
• Fluency in Indigenous Languages: Proficiency in at least one South African indigenous language is an asset.
