Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Consultant in Durban, you will be responsible for assessing and enhancing the security posture of our clients. You will work closely with various stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage cutting-edge security protocols to protect critical information and systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions tailored to client needs.
• Provide ongoing support to clients for cybersecurity issues.
• Assist in the creation of disaster recovery plans.
• Engage in continuous monitoring of security infrastructure.
• Foster a security-oriented culture within the organization.
• Collaborate with external security consultants as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in security standards (ISO 27001, NIST)
• Experience with SIEM tools
• Competent in scripting languages (Python, Bash)

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Teamwork

Certifications

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with endpoint security solutions: Knowledge of endpoint protection tools and strategies.
• Experience in developing security awareness programs: Ability to create training for staff on security best practices.
