We're on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for providing grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling pets according to owner specifications. With a focus on animal welfare and customer satisfaction, you’ll ensure pets look their best while creating a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of pets before grooming.
• Ensure all grooming procedures are conducted in a safe manner.
• Keep accurate records of grooming services performed.
• Build strong relationships with clients to promote repeat business.
• Stay updated on current grooming techniques and trends.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance grooming skills.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Grooming certification or equivalent experience preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in grooming and pet care

Technical Skills

• Clipping and styling
• Breed knowledge

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Pet CPR and First Aid Certification
• Advanced Grooming Techniques Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with pet health: Understanding of basic pet health signs and conditions.
• Grooming competition experience: Participation in grooming competitions is a plus.
