Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to assess risks and determine policy acceptance within our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting practices and be able to make informed decisions on coverage terms.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of insurance applications.
  • Make informed decisions regarding policy terms and conditions.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients and agents during the underwriting process.
  • Monitor and analyze loss trends to adjust underwriting criteria as necessary.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance underwriting skills.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Advanced insurance qualifications are a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry
