We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Animal Care Clinic in Durban. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in veterinary practice, demonstrating a commitment to animal welfare and excellence in clinical care. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular health checks and wellness examinations.
• Initiate treatment for infectious diseases and injuries.
• Lead outreach programs to educate the community on pet health.
• Collaborate with specialists for advanced care when needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
• Postgraduate qualification in Animal Behaviour is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Anaesthesia Management
• Pharmaceutical Knowledge

Certifications

• Advanced Veterinary Practice (AVP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
