As a valued member of our pharmacy team in Durban, you will engage directly with patients to provide medication counseling and health advice. Your responsibilities will include managing prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and collaborating with healthcare providers to enhance patient care. Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Provide expert consultation on medication therapy management.
• Conduct health screenings and vaccinations as per guidelines.
• Assist patients in medication adherence by offering tailored support.
• Educate patients about potential side effects and interactions of their medications.
• Coordinate with insurance companies to ensure coverage for prescribed medications.
• Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Implement safety protocols to prevent medication errors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent qualification
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a retail pharmacy setting
