Structural Engineer

Job Description

We're looking for a Structural Engineer in Cape Town who is eager to tackle challenging projects. This role involves the analysis of building structures and the design of innovative solutions. You'll engage with various stakeholders and ensure all projects meet required safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site construction to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Conduct load analysis and structural integrity assessments.
• Work closely with project managers to deliver projects on schedule.
• Deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders on project designs.
• Review design modifications and provide solutions as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of comprehensive experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Construction Methods

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Detail-oriented

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM Software: Proficient with Building Information Modeling tools.
• Understanding of Environmental Regulations: Knowledge of laws surrounding construction and engineering practices.
