Aerospace Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Aerospace Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work on various aerospace projects focusing on design, testing, and implementation of aerospace systems. This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and a passion for innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform mathematical modeling and simulations of aerospace systems.
• Collaborate with external partners for joint projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Analyze and interpret data to inform design decisions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and technologies.
• Assist with patent applications and intellectual property initiatives.
• Facilitate design reviews and present findings to leadership.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
• Professional engineer registration is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems design

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Leadership experience in engineering projects: Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering teams.
