Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing therapeutic support, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to client needs. You will play a vital role in improving the mental health of our community through individual and group therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

• Lead therapy groups to foster peer support and community connection.
• Analyze and report on client outcomes to inform program development.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff and interns.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss case management.
• Advocate for clients’ needs and help them navigate mental health resources.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or related field
• Licensed clinical psychologist preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in mental health therapy

• Crisis Intervention
• Group Therapy Facilitation

• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Psychologist
• Child Psychologist Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
