Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Public Health Specialist dedicated to enhancing public health in Durban. This position requires substantial engagement with the local community to understand health needs and develop proactive measures to tackle health disparities and promote wellness.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the impact of health education programs delivered to various demographics.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to address complex health issues.
• Assist in responding to public health emergencies.
• Conduct workshops and seminars for community education.
• Facilitate partnerships with external health organizations.
• Develop outreach materials to promote public health messages.
• Respond to inquiries regarding public health resources and support.
• Share findings with stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or a related field
• Relevant master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3 years of progressive experience in public health roles
