We are seeking a passionate Environmental Engineer to join our Pretoria team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in environmental science, engineering principles, and a desire to promote sustainable practices. You will be responsible for assessing environmental impact, designing projects to reduce pollution, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and assess waste management systems and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on sustainable construction practices.
• Conduct research on new environmental technologies.
• Engage with community stakeholders to promote environmental awareness.
• Provide recommendations for improving energy efficiency.
• Audit and analyze company practices to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
• Participate in the development of environmental training programs.
• Assist in securing funding for environmental projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering

• Environmental Impact Assessment

Certifications

• ISO 14001 Certification
• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
