Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer who possesses a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CAD software and the ability to work collaboratively on diverse projects, contributing innovative solutions that maximize performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate mechanical systems and components according to project specifications.
• Provide technical support and analysis to ensure project objectives are met.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop solutions that meet project deadlines.
• Conduct tests and inspections of products and systems to verify compliance with regulations.
• Develop detailed mechanical design documentation and specifications.
• Analyze problems and implement solutions to improve processes and enhance performance.
• Stay current with industry advancements and emerging technologies.
• Participate in project planning and management to ensure successful delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training as necessary.
• Engage with suppliers and clients to address engineering queries and deliver tailored solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems design

Languages

• English: Fluent
