We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer who possesses a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CAD software and the ability to work collaboratively on diverse projects, contributing innovative solutions that maximize performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Investigate and develop solutions to engineering challenges in projects.
• Apply engineering principles to optimize designs for performance and cost efficiency.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet customer expectations.
• Participate in regulatory and safety compliance assessments to minimize risk.
• Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Foster collaborative relationships with team members and other departments.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and lean engineering practices.
• Document processes and results for future reference and compliance.
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems design
