Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Childcare Worker to join our dynamic team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the care, supervision, and development of children in our facility, ensuring a safe and enriching environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage children in educational play and activities.
• Supervise mealtimes and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space fostering development.
• Manage behavior and promote positive interactions among children.
• Attend parent meetings to discuss child's achievements and concerns.
• Provide first aid as needed and maintain children’s health records.

Requirements

Education

• NQF Level 4 in Childcare or equivalent
• Degree in Early Childhood Education is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in childcare settings

Technical Skills

• Curriculum Development
• Behavior Management Strategies

Soft Skills

• Patience
• Creativity

Certifications

• Certified Child Care Professional (CCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans and Sesotho in addition to English.
• Background in psychology or social work: Educational background helpful in understanding children's behavior.
