Dental Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our Pretoria clinic. The ideal candidate will assist dentists during procedures, prepare and sterilize instruments, and manage patient records. You will play a critical role in providing excellent patient care and supporting our dental team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking their medical history.
• Assist dentists in various procedures and ensure patient comfort.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of work areas.
• Manage the dental practice's appointment scheduling.
• Educate patients about preventive dental care.
• Support billing processes and manage patient payments.
• Assist with special projects and initiatives within the practice.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and other staff.
• Help inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
• Participate in continuous education and training opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in Dental Assisting or similar qualification is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a dental practice is highly desirable

Languages

• English: Fluent
