Cloud Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our dedicated team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, collaborating on cloud migration projects, and optimizing cloud solutions for performance and cost-efficiency. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop scalable cloud architectures and implement best practices in cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Coordinate with security engineers to implement cloud security protocols.
• Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for cloud services.
• Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and trends.
• Build and maintain monitoring systems to ensure cloud service availability.
• Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery drills for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for cloud support.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
• Master's degree in Cloud Computing or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in cloud solutions architecture
