Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Handle daily accounting operations and reporting.
• Provide support for internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Review and approve monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Contribute to strategic planning by providing financial insights.
• Track financial ratios and benchmarking.
• Assist in managing cash flow and forecasts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of accounting experience including financial management.

Technical Skills

• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• ACCA certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with advanced Excel: Proficient in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Familiarity with SAP or Oracle: Experience in using ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
