Job Description

As a Crushing, Grinding, and Polishing Machine Setter, Operator, or Tender, you will play a crucial role in the production process. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating various machines to ensure our textiles meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage buffing and sueding machines for textiles.
• Inspect and test materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with the quality control team for inspections.
• Document machine usage and production for reporting.
• Train and guide junior staff in operational procedures.
• Adhere to maintenance schedules for the machinery.
• Implement safety measures on the production floor.
• Assist with the inventory of raw materials.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in a textile manufacturing environment preferred

Technical Skills

• Experience with leather or suede materials
• Physical dexterity

Certifications

• Heavy equipment operation certification
• Health and safety training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate
