Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of nursing practices and procedures. You will play a critical role in patient care, collaborating with physicians and healthcare staff to provide exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Implement individual patient care strategies.
  • Administer first aid and emergency interventions when necessary.
  • Monitor and record patient progress, including responses to treatment.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Assist in discharge planning and patient follow-ups.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and other nurses.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop educational materials and conduct patient workshops.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • Masters in Nursing is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in nursing in a hospital setting
