Job Description

As a Public Health Officer based in Pretoria, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing public health initiatives across the region. Your focus will be on assessing community health needs, implementing health programs, and collaborating with healthcare providers to promote health equity.

Responsibilities

• Implement disease prevention strategies and health interventions.
• Evaluate the success of public health initiatives through data analysis.
• Serve as a liaison between community members and healthcare leaders.
• Drive initiatives that promote mental health and wellness.
• Engage with community stakeholders to enhance health services.
• Provide training and support to health education staff.
• Participate in health fairs and informational sessions.
• Document and report on program outcomes and community health changes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in public health or community health education
