Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patient conditions.
• Administer intravenous treatments and assess for medication reactions.
• Act as a resource for nursing staff and provide mentorship.
• Facilitate care transitions across departments.
• Monitor and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Help develop policies to improve patient care processes.
• Assist in training new staff and interns.
• Utilize technology to enhance patient care delivery.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and education.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in acute care setting

• Medication Administration
• Wound Care Management

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

• Experience with Telehealth Monitoring: Experience in using telehealth technology to monitor patients.
