Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Specialist in Port Elizabeth, you will play a critical role in protecting our network and data systems from potential breaches. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of security protocols, and experience in developing security strategies. You will collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance and enhance our security posture.

Responsibilities

• Develop incident response protocols for cybersecurity incidents.
• Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
• Conduct employee training sessions on security best practices.
• Create reports on security posture and recommendations.
• Investigate suspicious activities and generate incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Manage security vulnerabilities identified during audits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity positions

Certifications

• CISM or equivalent certifications

Languages
