Job Description

As an Accountant at our reputable firm in Johannesburg, you will be tasked with preparing comprehensive financial reports, managing budgets, and providing insights on financial performance. Responsibilities

• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
• Prepare tax filings and ensure timely payment of all taxes.
• Assist in developing internal controls and management reports.
• Conduct variance analysis to examine budget discrepancies.
• Support financial strategy with detailed financial modeling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial inquiries.
• Contribute to the development of improved accounting processes.
• Prepare documentation for all accounting activities.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior accountants.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA) or CIMA is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role

• Registered Accountant
