Event Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of various events in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of events, including theme development, decoration, and entertainment.
• Manage contracts and agreements with various event service providers.
• Ensure adherence to legal regulations and health and safety standards.
• Monitor event budgets and adjust plans as necessary to meet financial targets.
• Train and mentor junior event staff on best practices and company standards.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends.
• Prepare detailed reports for clients post-event, highlighting successes and opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Event Planning, Hospitality Management, or similar
• Diploma in Event Management is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within event planning
