Job Description

We are seeking an Urban Planner who is passionate about shaping urban landscapes in Port Elizabeth. As part of our team, you'll collaborate on various projects that enhance community development and improve urban infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be skilled in planning and environmental assessments, with a strong focus on sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead urban planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring all timelines are met.
  • Research and analyze current urban trends and policies.
  • Prepare and present planning strategies to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Conduct site assessments and evaluations for proposed developments.
  • Provide guidance on city planning regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with city officials to develop urban development master plans.
  • Draft and revise planning documents, including environmental impact assessments.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or Environmental Science
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in urban planning or related sectors
