Job Description

As an Infirmarian, you will provide vital medical care and support for patients in our healthcare facility. You will work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive care, ensuring our patients receive the attention and support they need.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications while ensuring patient safety.
• Conduct routine assessments of patient conditions and document appropriately.
• Assist in preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients and their families as needed.
• Participate in patient care planning and delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the patient care area.
• Engage with families to address their concerns and provide updates on patient status.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring high standards of practice.
• Assist in training new staff and orienting them to clinic protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a nursing role with a focus on patient care.

Certifications

• Registered with SANC

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Palliative Care Training: Training in palliative care or end-of-life support.
