Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Chemical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will engage in the design and implementation of chemical processes that enhance our operational efficiency and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of chemical engineering principles and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to improve chemical process efficiency and sustainability.
• Work closely with production teams to identify process inefficiencies.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new chemical processes.
• Evaluate and recommend equipment for chemical production.
• Ensure effective communication of technical concepts to non-engineering staff.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
• Review and update standard operating procedures for chemical processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in chemical process engineering

• Process Simulation Software
• Regulatory Compliance

Certifications

• Certified Chemical Engineer (CCE)
• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
