Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Pharmacist to enhance our healthcare services. In this role, you will be at the forefront of patient care, providing valuable medication-related advice, contributing to patient education, and ensuring compliance with best practices in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Verify and validate prescription orders before dispensing.
• Engage with patients to understand their health concerns.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Educate patients about their medications and potential side effects.
• Ensure the pharmacy is clean, well-organized, and compliant with health standards.
• Contribute to developing pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and control stock levels.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of pharmacy staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a community pharmacy

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Research experience in pharmacology: Previous involvement in research or clinical trials related to pharmacy.
