Job Description

The Clinical Psychologist will be instrumental in assessing and treating patients with various mental health conditions. The role requires a compassionate professional who can deliver effective therapeutic interventions, participate in collaborative care with other mental health professionals, and engage in community outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate psychological conditions and create appropriate interventions.
  • Facilitate workshops to educate the public on mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with social workers and psychiatrists for holistic treatment.
  • Prepare and present at community mental health forums.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to ongoing research initiatives within the department.
  • Participate in grant writing for funding community programs.
  • Mentor junior psychologists and students.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's in Clinical Psychology
  • Registered with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting

  • Psychological First Aid Certification
