Job Description

As a Structural Engineer at our firm, you will provide key contributions to the planning and execution of major projects in Cape Town. Your role involves a comprehensive understanding of materials, building codes, and construction practices. Passion for innovation and sustainability in engineering is a must!

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to gather requirements and project specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimations.
• Design structural components and systems to meet project needs.
• Create detailed engineering calculations and analysis.
• Review and approve submittals from contractors and suppliers.
• Assist in resolving any site-related engineering challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil and structural projects

Technical Skills

• Steel Design
• Finite Element Analysis

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Green Building Practices: Familiarity with sustainable design and construction practices.
• Experience with International Standards: Understanding of Eurocodes and other international structural codes.
