Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. This role will involve assessing environmental impacts, developing sustainable solutions, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a proven track record in environmental engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental management projects from conception to completion.
• Supervise investigations and assess environmental impacts.
• Conduct public consultations and outreach initiatives.
• Participate in the development of environmental policies.
• Identify funding opportunities for sustainability initiatives.
• Support internal audits and regulatory compliance checks.
• Engage with external consultants and contractors.
• Monitor environmental performance metrics and KPIs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Policy preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering

Technical Skills

• Project Management
• GIS Software Proficiency

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
