Environmental Engineer

Job Description

As an Environmental Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while promoting sustainable practices. You will work collaboratively with diverse teams to assess environmental impacts, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present environmental sustainability reports to management.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative environmental solutions.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of environmental programs.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Support the development of environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related sectors

Technical Skills

• GIS software proficiency
• Project management

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Negotiation skills

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
• LEED Green Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Basic

• Knowledge of water resource management: Experience in managing water conservation projects.
